On Air

XPW.com has been off the air for quite some time!

New updates soon...

Pre-Grudge Notes, 6-20

The world of XPW is continuing spinning at a faster and faster pace!

First, the internet is buzzing with a rumor that Eternal Armageddon has ended, due to the loss suffered to Nine 1 One last week on Grudge. XPW.com has the exclusive answer to this rumor: Yes and no. Eternal Armageddon is, indeed, no more. However, this is due to the fact that Joseph "Saint Omen" Evans and Victor "Vlad" Creed have retired from wrestling. The two left on good terms with the XPW and have even mentioned that they wouldn't mind coming back down the road. XPW wishes these two great athletes the best in what they do.

This leaves Continental Champion Jay Williams as the sole survivor, and he apparently wouldn't have it any other way. During last week's Grudge, tension was apparent between Immune and Williams. Rumor has it that Immune demanded a match with Jay at the next Grudge, but Torch told him no. There was an instance of a minor face off after the show, but no violence ensued.

During aforementioned confrontation, Prince Pain was seen lingering in the background...close to Jay Williams. No word has been said about any alliances that Pain may have, but Pain has not been quiet about his dislike of the current action in the XPW.

"Superstars? I hesitate to call them superstars. I haven't had a single challenge yet. Some would argue that my loss to Violator was challenge enough...but he'll be getting his soon enough. And as for the new team of Scooby Doos back there, well, they're nothing to me. Immune has proven himself incompetent on many occasions. TSW needs to stay away, because everyone knows he's going to run at the first sign of combat. But Weiss...Weiss's ego is growing day by day. He carries around that case like he's worth a damn. He didn't beat anyone to win that case, no one important. I'm going to make him prove that he's worth it, you wait. Mark my words...the XPW is in for an uproar, and Nine 1 One and Violator are going to be the first ones to feel it."

Spies in the backstage area spotted Ken Nogieura and Noel Scott chatting a few days ago. By the time our reporters got close enough to see if there was romance in the air, the two were walking away. Although, reporters overheard them talking about a "Lethal Injection", which, unsurprisingly, sent our men running.

Finally, XPW.com has an exclusive piece of news, straight from the desk of the General Manger.

As of Monday June 22, 2009, Matt Russel will no longer be employed with the XPW. He is being terminated due to failing a random drug screening and will not be allowed back to Xtreme Pro Wrestling.

Backstage Pass, 6-9

Lots of whisperings are going on backstage lately.

With the newly formed team of Nine 1 One, many people are speculating as to who will be the next member. The leader of the group, Immune, has confirmed that there will indeed be another member, perhaps more than just one. He would not give a number or any names, but promises that the entire locker room will be rocked and that Nine 1 One will be the dominant force in the XPW.

A hidden camera found Michael Matthews backstage at Grudge, having a shouting match with Nicky War. Nicky proclaimed that he doesn't regret his actions at Afterburn, but he'd like to remain in contact with Matthews "just in case." Matthews began yelling and literally knocked one of Nicky's teeth out. Nicky left the room angry and in a hurry, but still screamed over his shoulder "we'll be in touch."

The Devil's Mafia is no more. Due to Kenua's recent acquisition of the XPW World Heavyweight title, there have been many altercations between Ken Nogieura and Aunek. It is rumored that Ken is nothing more than jealous of Kenua's fame and glory. Ken has started that Aunek has done nothing but "weigh him down." When asked about his recent losing streak, and if he really tapped out to an armbar from Aunek, Ken started screaming and stomped to his locker room, and then slammed the door.

Finally, the Tournament of Chaos is going to find itself to be as brutal and as bloody as the XPW has ever seen. Nearly 50 people have signed up for the gruesome event, but only 20 can enter. A full list of the participants, and who they are representing will be posted to XPW.com as soon as it's released!

Breaking News!

Afterburn is here, and what an event it will be!

XPW.com has reported that Prince Pain is suffering from a sprained ankle. He will not be allowed to compete at Afterburn, but is expected back on air for Grudge. The Great Riguez will take his place.

After the show last week, Killswitch and Jarrod Weiss we're found in the back, taking part in random challenges. Many of the XPW superstars were taking bets on the challenges. Some of the contests were arm wrestling (Weiss with 2 of 3), rock/paper/scissors (Killswitch with 3 of 5), hackey sack (Weiss, Killswitch couldn't keep his sack up) and beer pong (Killswitch, Weiss passed out).

Speaking of after the show news, security had to break up a bickering Aymi Young and Brittany Knox. Alexandria Ross and Brittyn Richter were reported close to the scene, but not involved in the scrabble.

Immune appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on Wednesday night. He stated that he doesn't feel as if he's 100% but is ready to charge into Afterburn anyway. The XPW Staff has shown concern, placing Immune on a high-risk list. Medical personnel will be monitoring his match closely.

Rumors have been swirling about Violator's actions on last week's Sin. No one knows if he's in cahoots with Venom, or is simply acting on his own. No one has been able to find the former champion since the show.

An XPW.com poll shows that 84% of views think that a new team will be crowned as the tag team champions at Afterburn. At the request of The Circuz of Freakz, the match will be an XPW Traditional Title Rules match -- meaning that there is no disqualification.

Finally, Venom and Kenua had a weigh in early this morning. Neither man uttered a single word, and no shots were thrown. Although it should me mentioned that every member of XPW security and the Salt Lake City Police were on hand. This is an explosive element, which is only going to get more heated on Sunday!

Tune in May 31st when XPW presents Afterburn! Live in Salt Lake City!
